HAROLD L."RED" CHILDS, 64, died April 9, 1977 in
San Antonio, TX, with burial in Monahans Memorial
Cemetery at Monahans, TX. Born Feb. 12, 1913 in
Demming, NW, he had lived in Monahans for 30 years
and was retired from the auto salvage business. He
was a member of the Christian Church. He and his
wife, Goldie Hardin Childs, were married in Oct.
of 1931 at Wilson, OK.
Survivors include his wife of the home; 2 daughters,
Pat Hansen of Wichita, KS and Wanda Oliver of Indian
Springs, NV; 2 sisters, Mary Helen Childs (RHS-1934)
of Felton, CA and Evelyn Child Krajacar (RHS-1939)
of Odessa; his mother, Pearl Childs of Odessa; 12
grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
