Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1932 RJC

Paul Bray & Rena PAUL F. BRAY, 92, passed away on June 21, 2006, after a long courageous battle with Parkinson's disease, with burial in Greenwood Memorial Park in Ft. Worth. Paul was born Sept. 7, 1913, in Brady, TX. He attended Ranger High School in the Class of 1932 at Ranger, TX. He was a former volunteer firefighter and fire marshal in River Oaks. He was a member of Castleberry Church of Christ and retired from Lockheed. Paul selflessly devoted his time to caring for others, whether it was mowing widows' lawns, feeding stray animals, delivering Meals on Wheels, changing the oil in family members' cars or quietly seeing to the needs of others. He was loved and admired by many people. Paul was a loving husband, father, grandfather & great-grandfather & will be greatly missed by his family. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Lem Bray (RHS-1936) and John Bray (RHS-1933); and sister, Doris Bray (RHS-1932). Survivors: Loving wife of 69 years, Rena Mason Bray of Fort Worth; beloved daughters, Paula Bray Link and husband, Jon, of Sayville, N.Y., and Pamala Bray Terrell of Fort Worth; son, Byron M. Bray of Fort Worth; grand- children, Mason Odom and wife, Laurie, Suzanne Birchmier, Jennifer Hance Leon and husband, Dave, Joshua Paul Hance, Brent Bray, Belen Bray and Redmon Bray; and seven great- grandchildren. WIFE: RENA MASON BRAY, 93, went to meet her Lord on Jan. 11, 2011, surrounded by her family with interment at Greenwood Memorial Park in Ft. Worth. Rena was born on July 29, 1917, in Bluff Dale to Adeline Allen Renfrow Mason and Walter Lewis Mason. When she was 3 years old the family moved to Apache, OK, by covered wagon. She graduated from Brockton High School in Oklahoma at age 16. She earned an Associate Degree at Ranger Junior College, where she met her future husband, Paul Bray. They married in 1937 and lived in Wichita, KS, during World War II, followed by four years in Burbank, CA, then moved to Fort Worth for the remainder of their lives. Paul died in 2006. Rena worked as a teacher's aide in the Castleberry School District before retiring. She was a member of Castle- berry Church of Christ for 60 years. Survivors: Daughters, Paula Link (Jon) of Sayville, N.Y., and Pam Terrell of Fort Worth; son, Byron Bray; grandchildren, Mason Odom and wife, Laurie, Suzanne Royal (Tommy), Jennifer Hance Leon (Dave), Joshua Hance, and Brent, Redmon and Belen Bray; great-grandchildren, Alan and Kendall Birchmier, Morgan Royal, Michael, Piper and Summer Odom, and Amaya, Sasha and Jake Leon.
