Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1936

REVEREND CONNELL DUNSON NAIL, 94, of Odessa, TX, departed this earth and entered into the glory of Heaven on June 16, 2011. "G.G." was born April 18, 1917 in Llano County, TX to Henry & Daisy Dunson. She attended Ranger High School at Ranger, TX in the Class of 1936. She married Artie Dean Nail in 1936. They stood firm through the Great Depression and Artie began work for Brown & Root Construction. Connell followed Artie in his work from city to city, where she was repeatedly asked to lead Bible classes and often time fill in for absent pastors in the churches they attended. Sixty-one years ago she fell in love with Jesus Christ and uncompromisingly proclaimed the Word of God to anyone she came into contact with. In 1966, Faith Temple Fellow- ship in Odessa was left in her care and she faithfully served as the church's Senior Pastor for forty-five years. In addition to her first love of preaching God's Word, she also loved working as a floral designer. Connell was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother & was two months shy of being a great-great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband Artie Dean Nail and two daughters: Helen Ruth Nail and Alta Rae Jones. Connell leaves behind two daughters: Carol Carlile and husband Allen of Odessa, and Barbara Altom of Odessa; one brother: Jodi Dunson and wife Minnie of Brownwood; eleven grandchildren; Laura Kyker and husband Donny of Odessa, Taysha Feist and husband Mike of Comanche, David Crotwell of Odessa, Tamara Moersch of Odessa, Ronald Altom of Odessa, Byron Crotwell of Odessa, Heather Hardie and husband Brad of San Francisco, CA, Jimmy Carlile and wife Rebecca of Odessa, Wesley Carlile of Odessa, Chad and Leanne Laman of Comanche, and Larry Carlile & wife Shannon of Dahlgren, VA. Connell also had 25 great-grandchildren.
