EDNA JOSEPHINE ROBINSON CHRISTIE, 94,
affectionately known as "Jo", of Lexington, SC
passed away Dec. 27, 2016, with burial in Fourth
Presbyterian Church Memorial Garden at Greenville,
SC.
She was born April 25, 1922 in Pidcoke, TX; the
daughter of the late Valeria Franks Robinson &
Benjamin Henry Robinson. She attended Ranger High
school in the Class of 1939 at Ranger, TX. She was
pre-deceased by her husband and love of her life,
Robert R. "Bob" Christie, Jr.
Jo & Bob were married for 65 years and enjoyed an
amazing life together. They raised and are survived
by four children: Robert R. Christie, III (Barbara);
Charles Lee Christie, Sr. (Jean); Jan Christie Warner
(Steve); and Carolyn Christie Linton (Pat). She is
also survived by 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grand-
children; her sister-in-law, Mary Jean Goodfellow,
and nephew, David Wallace. In addition to her husband
and parents, Jo was predeceased by four siblings,
Zelma Robinson Hunt (RHS-1940), Ann, Stan and Gil.
Jo and Bob enjoyed life - playing golf together and
traveling extensively. They were devoted, active
members of Fourth Presbyterian Church in Greenville,
SC. An aspiring artist, Jo loved to paint in oils and
watercolors, and also volunteered for Meals on Wheels
and taught Sunday school. She was greatly loved by
many.
