JAMES W. ELDER, 76, was born July 12, 1921, the
oldest son born to Mr. & Mrs. J.W. Elder of Ranger,
TX. He attended Ranger High School in the Class of
1940. Three younger brothers include Billy Ray Elder
(RHS-1943), Sammy Lee Elder (RHS-1948) & Dean Elder
(RHS-1950). All are deceased except for Billy Ray
of Midland. There was also a younger sister Mary
Ann Elder who was in the RHS Class of 1954. He was
married to Mary Beth Moore, also of the RHS-1940.
They were living in North Richland Hills, TX at the
time of his death on May 17, 1998.
