Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1940

Ernest Gray ERNEST C. "SHOT" GRAY, JR.,, 80, died July 15, 2003 at his home in Marble Falls, TX, with interment at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park in Burnet, TX. Shot was born May 11, 1923 in Ranger, TX and was a 1940 graduate of Ranger High School. He served in the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II. After his service in the Army, he graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX. He had a successful career in sales. He is survived by his wife Vivian; a daughter, Gail and her husband Jim Rogers of Marble Falls; a son, Matthew and his wife Melissa of St. Louis, Missouri, and one granddaughter, Elizabeth of Houston. Two half- brothers: Pete (RHS-1956), and Charles Tibbels (RHS- 1957) of Ranger, one half-sister, Sandra Tibbels Welch (RHS-1964) of Colorado City, CO and one step-sister, Billie Jo Tibbels Newsom of Sulphur Springs, TX. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest C. Gray, Sr.; a step-father Fred Tibbels; his mother, Jewel Gray Tibbels; a brother, Bill Gray (RHS-1943) and a sister, Norma Jo Gray Gordon (RHS-1943). Vivian & Ernest Gray WIFE: VIVIAN GRISSOM GRAY of Marble Falls, TX, passed away April 12, 2016 at the age of 92 with internment at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park. She was born July 1, 1923 in Dallas, TX to Brown & Blanche Grissom. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest C. Gray. Vivian is survived by her son, Matthew Gray and wife Melissa of San Antonio, TX, daughter, Gail Rogers of Meadowlakes, TX, granddaughter Elizabeth Chambers of Katy, TX and sister Ruby Lois Myers & husband Harris of Bonham, TX.
