George Falls Chrystal Falls GEORGE DEXTER FALLS, 94, passed away July 24, 2014 in De Leon, TX, with burial at Merriman Cemetery near Ranger, TX. George was born Dec. 22, 1919 in Eastland County to Phillip Thomas Falls & Etta Lou Mainard. He attended Ranger High School in the Class of 1940 & married Chrystal Kathryn Jackson in Dec. of 1941 in Strawn, TX. She preceded him in death in 2013. George served in the U.S. Army. He was an auto mechanic working for Anderson Chevrolet and later for himself. He taught auto mechanics for 10 years at Ranger Jr. College. He was a member of the Lions Club & Merriman Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Falls (RHS-1947) and two sisters, Jamie Falls Floyd (RHS-1940) & Frances Falls Dickinson (RHS-1942). Survivors at the time of his death include a son, Jerry Falls (RHS-1968) and wife Frances; daughters, Jan Becnel (RHS-1961) and husband Jay and Joyce Speed (RHS-1967) & husband David; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a brother, Owen Frederick Falls (RHS-1949); 2 sisters, Inez Falls Hunt (RHS- 1936) and Mabel Falls Ramsey (RHS-1938); and a host of relatives and many friends. WIFE: CHRYSTAL KATHRYN JACKSON FALLS, 96 of Ranger, TX went home to be with her Lord on Nov. 18, 2013, with burial in the Merriman Cemetery near Ranger. Chrystal was born to William Henry Harrison Jackson and Nora Caldona Gailey on January 18, 1917 in Tudor, TX. She graduated Strawn High School and then later graduated from Ranger Jr. College. Chrystal married the love of her life George Dexter Falls in December of 1941 in Strawn, TX. She was a member of the Merriman Baptist Church, the Bullock quilting club, & a Ranger Hospital Volunteer. At the time of her death, she was survived by her husband George Falls of 71 years; her son: Jerry Falls and wife Frances; her daughters: Jan Falls Becnel and husband Jay; Joyce Speed and husband David; 9 grandchildren; 16 great- grandchildren; a host of relatives and many friends.
