Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1943

Veteran of WWII ROBERT J. "BOB" FRASIER, 79, of Odessa passed away on Feb. 18, 2004 in Odessa, TX, after a lengthy illness. Mr. Frasier was born Jan. 28, 1925, in Ranger, TX to Franklin Frasier & Abigail Champain Frasier, who preceded him in death. A brother, Franklin "Spot" Frasier (RHS-1939), also preceded him in death during the WWII conflict. Robert married Wanda Lue Brittain in 1949 at Ranger. They shared 54 years together. He attended Ranger High School in the Class of 1943 at Ranger, TX. Robert was a WWII veteran and served as a radar-man, First Class in the U. S. Navy on the USS Sigourney 643. He was a member of the VFW of Odessa, TX and a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge #36 AF & AM of Port Lavaca, TX. He moved to Point Comfort, TX, in 1959, employed as a welder for Alcoa Aluminum Company, retiring in 1986 with 27 years service. He was also a member of the Alcoa Aluminum Company Alumni 25 Year Club. Upon his retirement, he relocated to Odessa TX, residing on the Pevehouse-Christensen Ranch, where he spent the last 18 years of his life Mr. Frasier is survived by his wife, Wanda Frasier, daughter; Rebecca "Becky" Frasier of Odessa, TX, daughter, Donna Williams (formerly of Andrews) of Jacksonville, TX, son, William Robert "Bill" Frasier and wife Cheryl of Victoria, TX, and daughter, Ramona Luanne "Mona" Zeller/Reynolds and husband, Steve of Odessa, TX, eight grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Ruby Frasier Smith (RHS-1937) of DeLeon, TX and a brother, Howard Frasier (RHS-1946) & wife, Dorothy, of Blackwell, TX. Robert gently touched the lives of all he met. He loved his Family and Friends and each was important to him. Living on the ranch was his "heaven". The opportunities that he had and the Friends he made while living there will remain a special memory in the lives of his Family. He shall be missed. Wanda Frasier WIFE: WANDA "NANA" BRITTAIN FRASIER, 81, of Magnolia, formerly of Point Comfort, passed away on Oct. 18, 2009 after a short battle with cancer. She was born Dec. 29, 1927 in Ranger, TX to the late William Lee & Luetta Weekes Brittain. Her childhood and growing up years were in Kilgore, TX and Bryson, TX. She married Robert J. "Bob" Frasier (RHS-1943) on Sept. 24, 1949 in Ranger. She retired from Gardenland Nursery in 1986 and she and her husband "Bob" moved to Odessa, TX and lived on a ranch for 18 years until his death in 2004. Wanda was an artist and loved to do ceramics and give to her family and friends her many works of art. She loved and will greatly miss her cat, “Andy”. Wanda is survived by her daughters Rebecca Frasier of Magnolia, Donna Williams of Jacksonville & Mona Zeller of Victoria; son Bill Frasier of Victoria; 8 grand- children; 8 great-grandchildren; and one on the way. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert J. "Bob" Frasier, infant brother and two sisters Rosa and Shirley.
