BILLY JOE MOORE, 85, of Granbury, TX died Aug. 29,
2011 at Harris Hospital in Fort Worth, TX.
He was born April 13, 1926 in Ranger, TX to Joe &
Anna Moore. Billy graduated from Ranger H.S. in
1943. He began his career with TP Coal & Oil in
Breckenridge as an Oil Scout and then became a
Landman. He worked for several major oil companies.
For the past 60 years he has been an Independent
Landman, working all over the United States. Billy
was a member of the American Association of Petroleum
Landmen. He was a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge.

Survivors: his wife, Peggy M. Moore; daughter, Peg
(Craig Lindholm) Moore of Burnet; son, Miles (Susan)
Moore of Moran; stepson, William Collins of Granbury;
brother, Bobby (Ava) Moore of Moran; sister, Mary
(Thomas) Holland of Moran; and several nieces and
nephews.
