MARY JOY WILSON, 85, died on Sept. 26, 2011, at
her residence in Fort Worth, TX, with interment at
Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger, TX.
She was born on Feb. 8, 1926, in Ranger, TX to
Rubin C. & Bessie Irion Wilson. Miss Wilson was
a retired teacher and attended Ranger High School
in the Class of 1943. Mary Joy graduated from Ranger
Jr. College in the Class of 1945. She attended
Texas Wesleyan College & Hardin-Simmons University,
earning a Master’s Degree. She taught science at
RHS in the late 40s and early 50s. After retiring,
she later came back to teach at RHS in the 80s.
Her brother Jerry C. Wilson (RHS-1949) of Fort
Worth survives her.
