Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1947

Peggy Robinson Cooper PEGGY JUNE ROBINSON COOPER, 81, passed away on Sept. 28, 2011 in Corpus Christi, TX, with burial at the Eastland City Cemetery in Eastland, TX. Peggy was born in Ranger, TX to E.P. Robinson and Minnie (Gee) Robinson on June 7, 1930. She graduated from Ranger High School in the Class of 1947 and was a telephone operator for Bell Telephone. She married William W. "Bill" Cooper in June of 1951 at Las Cruces, NM, and they were blessed with over 60 years of marriage. Peggy was raised in Ranger and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ranger where she played the organ and the piano. She loved music and singing. She also enjoyed fishing so she and Bill retired to Corpus Christi where they resided for the past fifteen years. Everyone that knew and loved Peggy will always remember her as a loving wife and mother. She was always the first to be there whenever anyone needed help. At the time of her death, she was survived by her husband, William W. Cooper of Corpus Christi, TX; her son, Billy and wife Jarrell Cooper of Hobbs, NM; her two daughters, Becky and husband Richard Boerner of Gun Barrel City, TX and Carol and husband Buddy Jenkins of Odessa, TX; her brother, E.P. Robinson, Jr. (RHS-1950) and wife Sandy of Lovington, NM; her sister, Billie Wynn (RHS-1942) of Montgomery, AL; grandchildren, Guy Cooper & John Calderon of Hobbs, NM, Chad and Laurie Boerner of Gun Barrel City, TX, Chris and Kim Jenkins of Odessa, TX, Misty and Donnie Reza of Granbury, TX, Brian and Roxxy Cooper of Pittsburgh, PA and Casey Jenkins of Odessa, TX; ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews. Other siblings were Evelyn Robinson Harper (RHS-1953), Betty Robinson Richards (RHS- 1944), & Nelma Robinson (RHS-1938).
