JIMMY CHARLINE ROGERS WHEAT, 84, of Cisco, TX,
passed from this life Dec. 21, 2013, at her home,
with burial at Oakwood Cemetery in Cisco.
Charline was born Aug. 19, 1929, in Ranger, TX to
Raymond R. & Josephine (Stallings) Rogers. She
attended Ranger High School for a short time in
the Class of 1948 and married James Edward Wheat,
Sr. (RHS-1941) in September of 1946, in Ranger.
Charline was a member of the Cisco chapter Order
of the Eastern Star. She worked for many years as
a hairdresser and later became a Certified Nurses
Aid caring for the elderly. Her identity was care-
giver. She cared for her husband, her parents, her
children, elder care as CNA, and baby sitter for
many children who are now adults and remember her
a G’ma. She was clothed in strength and courage
and lived her life strong til the end. She was a
wonderful blessing, a sacrificial giver, never
withholding herself.
Charline was preceded in death by her husband
James Wheat.
Charline is survived by 4 children: James Edward
Wheat, Jr. & wife Jacque of Rising Star, Gary Rae
Wheat and wife Anita of Cisco, Eva Ann Vickers and
husband Richard of Cisco, and Debbie Lynn Wheat of
Cisco; brother, Lawrence Glen Rogers (RHS-1956) of
Cheyenne, WY; 10 grandchildren: Kris Wheat, Krystal
Wheat, Alice Ann Wheat, Jason Paul Houghton, Justin
Eli Wheat, Jordan Lee Wheat, Jamie Lynn Wheat, James
Matthew Norman, Serenity Shea Rasmussen, Ethan James
Everett; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Note: Her daughter, Eva Ann Wheat Vickers (CHS-1967),
passed away on May 21, 2020.
