EDDIE JACKSON BILBY HAYES, 81, of Ranger,
TX went home to be with her Lord on Nov. 14, 2013,
with burial in the Necessity Cemetery near Ranger.
Eddie was born May 24, 1932 in San Angelo to Collier
Clifton and Meada Evelyn Stanford Jackson. She was
a 1951 graduate of Ranger High School. In 1951, she
married Raymond Eugene Bilby who preceded her in
death in 1996. In 1998, Eddie married Delbert T.
Hayes who preceded her in death in 1999.
Eddie worked as a secretary and office manager in
the oil and gas industry from many years. While
living in Albany for 12 years, she worked for a
CPA. Eddie was a member of the Necessity Baptist
Church. Eddie loved to write poetry and music.
She enjoyed playing card games and dominoes and
she also enjoyed County and Western Dancing. She
was loved dearly and will be missed.
At the time of her death, Eddie was survived by
five children: Gene Bilby (RHS-1970) and wife
Michelle of Eastland, Jo Bilby Turner (RHS-1971)
of Ranger, Linda Jenkins (RHS-1972) and husband
Tim of Strawn, Debra Foisy (RHS-1974) and husband
Doug of Burleson, Larry Bilby (RHS-1985) and wife
Missy of Casper, Wyoming and one sister, Thelma
Jackson Wesley of Ranger. She is also survived by
eleven grandchildren: James Bilby, Melissa Bilby,
Jesse Bilby, Christi Alexander, Amanda Alexander,
Tracy Alexander, David Alexander, Shawn Harmon,
Rene’ Bates, Stephanie Smith, and Jeff Foisy, 7
great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren,
3 nephews and 1 niece.
