JOHNNY D. YOUNG, 56, died on Aug. 11, 1996
in Eastland, TX.
He was born on April 21, 1940 to Joe and
Vinetta Young in Ranger, TX. He was a 1958
graduate of Ranger High School and moved to
Odessa to work in the oil field. He later
owned and operated Young Machine Shop in
Odessa. Johnny married Linda Hatton (RHS-1963)
in Feb. of 1984 in Snyder. He relocated his
machine shop to Olden, TX in 1993 and was in
livestock and Ostrich business which he enjoyed
very much.
He was preceded in death by a son, Mickey Young
in 1967, a brother, Jerry Dobbs (RHS-1951) in
1976 and his father, Joe in 1988. Johnny was a
Baptist.
Survivors at the time of his death include his
wife, Linda Young of Olden; two sons, Coy Young
of Ranger and Michael Young of Round Rock; one
daughter, Vinetta Young of Olden; two step-
children, Tommy Parks of Smyrna, Tennessee and
Keri Orms of Eastland; his mother, Vinetta Young
of Ranger; one brother, Joe Young (RHS-1955) of
Amarillo; six grandchildren; one aunt; and two
uncles.
