DAN WAYNE DIXON, 61, of Ranger High School Class of 1959
at Ranger, TX, died on June 25, 2003 in Abilene, TX.
Dan was born in Ranger, TX on Aug.18, 1941, to Wilda Forest
Duke & Gaston W. Dixon (RHS-1927). He was married to Alta
Mae Thurman and they had a daughter, Teri Danette Dixon. Dan
is survived by a daughter, Teri Garner of Stanwood, Michigan,
and two grandsons, Garrett and Brendon Garner. Dan owned and
operated Dixon Auto Parts in Cisco where they lived.
Dan is also survived by two brothers and a sister, Duke
Edward Dixon (RHS-1955) of Paris, TX, James Lee Dixon (RHS-
1970) of Waxahachie, and James' twin sister, Jean Ann Dixon
Ford (RHS-1970), who lives in Glen Rose. A sister, Carol Ann
Dixon, died at birth. Dan was a member of the First United
Methodist Church in Cisco and had served his community in
many ways.
