Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1959

Jake Basham JERRY DON "JAKE" BASHAM, 72, died in Abilene, TX on March 21, 2012, with burial at Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger,TX. Jake was born in Ranger, TX, on Jan. 15, 1940 to Hammock Ray and Wilma L. Blackwell Basham. He graduated from Ranger High in 1959 and entered the U.S. Air Force serving from 1960 to 1964. He married Teresa Huling (RHS-1968) in Carbon, TX in Aug. of 1974. He was a self employed pipeline welder for many years he was also employed by WTU as a pipeline supervisor until his retirement. Jake was proceeded in death by his parents, one brother Donald Roy Basham, and an infant son Roy Don Basham. At the time of his death, he was survived by his wife, Teresa Lynn Basham, of the home; one daughter Stacy (RHS-1994) and husband Jason Bowen (RHS-1994) of Fort Worth, TX; one son Roy L. (RHS-1998) & wife Amy Basham of Lubbock; 5 granddaughters, Jenna, Katie, and Allie Bowen, and Kennedy & Darely Basham. MOTHER: WILMA L. BLACKWELL BASHAM, 76, was born Aug. 22, 1916 & died Jan. 15, 1993. She married Roy Hammock Basham and they had a son, Jerry Don "Jake" Basham (RHS-1959), who was born in Ranger. She was the grandmother of Roy Lynn Basham (RHS-1998) who is a state trooper stationed at Big Lake, and of Stacie Dionne (RHS-1994), Basham Bowen (RHS-1994), who lives with her husband, Jason (RHS-1994) in Ft. Worth.
