MARGARET ANN "AUNT BEA" OBEL, 76 of Burnet,
TX passed away Oct. 26, 2017, with burial in the
Post Mountain Cemetery at Burnet.
She was born April 19, 1941 to William M. & Margaret
Bzson Obel in Hog Town (Desdemona) near Ranger, TX
where she grew up. Margaret attended St. Rita's
Catholic School, Young School, & Ranger High School
in the Class of 1960/62.
She later lived in Odessa, TX where she worked in
a bakery as a pastry chef. Aunt Bea, as she was known
to her family, loved pictures, scrap-booking & loved
to draw. She loved playing pranks on people and was
known to cheat at card and board games sometimes. For
the past few years she has been a resident of the
Oaks Nursing Home where she enjoyed living and being
friends with the residents
and employees.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister
including Ronald Obel (RHS-1956) & Evelyn Obel Nixon
(RHS-1950).
Surviving family include her nephew Eliot Nixon and his
wife Dianna of Burnet. She is also survived by many
other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and
great-great-nieces and nephews.
