BILLIE JEAN GRICE RODGERS, 78, passed away on
Sept. 4, 2021, with burial at Alameda Cemetery
near Ranger, TX.
Billie was born to James Truett & Velma Grice on
June 3, 1943 in Ranger. Billie was a member of the
Mesquite & Rusk Church of Christ in Ranger. She
married Richard "Rick" Rodgers in June of 1992.
Billie attended schools at Ranger in the Class of
1963 and worked at the Gorman Nursing Home for 10
years, later worked at the Eastland Nursing Home
for 4 years. She loved her chickens & her dogs
and had many friends and loved to work puzzles.
Billie is preceded in death by her husband Rick;
brothers, Kenneth Grice (RHS-1957), Donnie Cozart
(RHS-1953), Delbert Cozart (RHS-1970); and sister,
Ellen Cozart Kanady (RHS-1966); her parents, James
Grice and Velma Cozart and step-dad, Delbert Cozart.
She is survived by her brother, Dale Cozart (RHS-1958)
and wife Carol (RHS-1960); sisters, Loretta Pelfrey
(RHS-1973), and Norma McDonald (RHS-1977) & husband
James. She is also survived by close friends, Wilma
Sybesma, Danny Roberts, Emma Jenkins, and Red. Also
surviving Billie is her step-daughter, Leigh and
step-son, Rick, Jr., and several grandchildren.
