MANUEL GOMEZ, JR., 71, passed away on May 15, 2019
in Batesville, AR.
He was born on May 14, 1948 in Ranger, TX, Manuel
lived most of his life in Ranger and later moved to
Arkansas. He attended Ranger High School in the
Class of 1967. He loved to play Baseball as a
younger man and later coached Little League in
Ranger. Manuel loved the Dallas Cowboys, NASCAR,
riding bicycles, shopping at garage sales & being
with his family and friends.
He was proceeded in death by his parents Manuel C.
Gomez,,Sr. and Pauline Mendez Gomez; 3 children;
sons Ruben Gomez (RHS-1986), Albert Gomez (RHS-1990),
and daughter Elisa Ewing. Four siblings, sisters,
Alla Ray Harper, Joyce Stowe, Lupe Gomez Green
(RHS-1978) and a brother Joe Gomez.
Manuel is survived by his wife Connie Annette Gomez
of Batesville, AR, his children; Rachel Gardner
of Corpus Christi, TX, Jenny Gomez of Spring, TX,
Tina Mercer of Bridgeport, TX, Jennifer Terry of
Conroe, TX. and Kayla Koestner of Batesville, AR.
Three sisters Lucille Gomez Pewett (RHS-1974) of
Altus, OK, Anita Gomez Wells (RHS-1977) of Eastland,
TX, and Lisa Gomez Wells (RHS-1978) of Cross Plains,
TX. Many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-
grandchildren.
