JO ELLEN BLACKWELL HOOKS, 68, of Ranger,
TX passed away on May 1, 2024, burial at the
Alameda Cemetery near Ranger.
She was born June 21, 1955 in Ranger to Millus
Richard Blackwell & Delium Aline (Bowen) Blackwell.
After graduating from Ranger High School in the
Class of 1973, she became a Medication Aid and
had worked for nursing homes in Eastland & Ranger.
She loved Elvis, reading Westerns and working word
search puzzles. Her married name was Hooks.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a
daughter, Reva Huston (RHS-2003) in 2002.
Survivors include 2 sons, Jason Hooks (RHS-1998)
& wife Beth, and Kevin Hamilton (RHS-1994) & wife
Shannon; a brother, Jim Blackwell (RHS-1971); and
sister, Susan Blackwell Guerrero (RHS-1978) and
husband Jessie; several grandchildren; and niece,
Misti Maxwell.
