COACH FRANKEY "FRANK" BEVERS of Rockwall,
TX for 21 years, passed away Feb. 4, 2018, at the
age of 82.
He was born June 10, 1935, in Mineral Wells, TX, to
Aaron Andrew & Hattie Beavers Bevers. At Ranger High
School in Ranger, TX, he taught Physical Education
during the late 1950s. A former Highland Park head
football coach, Frank loved teaching and molding his
players into men. His coaching career there began in
1974, and lasted through 1992. During his time there
he inspired many student and players and touched many
lives. Frank was a loving husband and father, but his
grandchildren were his pride. He will be remembered
fondly and missed by many.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 56 years:
Shirley Bevers; daughter: Judy Bevers; sons: Bart
Bevers and wife Gina; and Hank Scott Bevers; and
grandchildren: Amy Robinson, D. Lynn Branton,
Christopher Scott Bevers, Zane Bevers and Gracyn
Bevers; along with numerous nephews, nieces and
friends. He was preceded in death by his parents
and sisters: Doris Mathis, Edith Cowley and Modine
Bevers.
