REV. WILLIAM DELNO BLANKENSHIP, 89, of Modesto,
CA died on Oct. 8, 2006, with burial in Lakewood
Memorial Park at Hughson, CA. He was a native of
Cleburne, TX and lived in Modesto for 39 years.
The Reverend was a minister for 60 years, and a
member of First Pentecostal Church.
William was born on July 16, 1916 to John A. and
Myrtle Barrett Blankenship. He was a member of
the Ranger High School Class of 1933/34 at Ranger,
TX and married Leora Diamond. Their children were
William, Patricia, & Lyne Sue Blankenship.
He is survived by his wife, Leora Diamond Blankenship
of Modesto; children, William Thomas Blankenship of
San Jose, Patricia Ann Adams of Woodlake and Lynda
Sue Brownell of Madera; sisters, Marie Blankenship
Rainwater (RHS-1938) of Coalinga & Glenny Blankenship
Cain (RHS-1939) of Stanton, TX; & seven grandchildren
and 10 great-grandchildren. His wife, Leora, died in
2012.
He was preceded in death by five sisters: Reta Blankenship,
Pauline Blankenship (RHS-1928), Jewel Blankenship (RHS-
1930), Vesta Blankenship (RHS-1932), & Roberta Blankenship
(RHS-1933).
